Organised by Bob Branch and David Williams I took part in the F&WHR Photo Charters as part of the big Welsh Steam Extravaganza. I had booked on the WHR charter days but due to flooding the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland parts of the charter had switched around. I able to swap a days holiday with work, so could attend one day on the Welsh Highland along with two on the FR. On the Ffestiniog on Sunday 31st October we had Lilla on a train of skips and Merddin Emrys on a passenger set. On Monday 1st November we had Welsh Pony (and later DLG) on a goods set, with Blanche and David Lloyd George on passenger sets. On Friday 5th November we had the K1 and NGG16 87 on South African Freight sets, with Merddin Emrys on a passenger train.
